Indigo Touch the journey so far . . .
Aside from being a Complementary Therapist, having qualified in 2003 in Reflexology, Jacqueline Rodgers is a wife and mother. We caught up with Jacqueline, to delve deeper into her chosen career path.
“Balancing my professional and personal life was the catalyst for deciding to work from home. Coincidentally, this is now the new norm for many people but in my case, it is the best option and one which is working out perfectly. Working from home as a Reflexologist gives me the flexibility to manage my own time and work around my client’s busy schedules. Sharing the health, well-being and relaxation benefits that Reflexology can offer is so rewarding, especially when you receive positive feedback and can see the improvements to a persons’ condition,” said Jacqueline.
Reflexology, has it always been part of your holistic journey?
“It was my first experience within the holistic sector, some 30 years ago and a therapy which I have always practiced throughout my career. The benefits are numerous, which can be a surprise to many people, especially when they discover Reflexology for the first time. My work has taken me throughout Ireland and the UK working with persons with special needs, namely autism and with the general-public. My last appointment was working as an ESPA Expert Therapist in the Slieve Donard Hotel & Spa in Newcastle, Co. Down, which was back in 2019. I have adapted and incorporated the other complementary therapies into my own treatments, namely aromatherapy , acupressure and sports massage alongside the reflexology core base.”
Jacqueline continued,
“Although Reflexology is predominantly regarded as a foot-based therapy it also is a treatment which has its origins working on the hands. Many conditions are traced and directly linked to each area of the body. Some of the conditions treated include muscular aches and pains, respiratory problems, poor circulation, insomnia, headaches, helps aid relaxation, alleviates swelling and gives a general sense of well-being. This though is not an exhaustive list, as many other conditions and or symptoms can be treated.”
Jacqueline concluded,
“It is important to stress, I also have many clients without any obvious ailments, who simply enjoy taking time out of their busy lives, with a relaxing treatment. Everyone at some point should experience the transformative effects of Reflexology first-hand and embrace a renewed sense of wellness".
So, if I wish to make an appointment with INDIGO TOUCH how easy is it and how long does it last?
“Very simple, reach out to us via our various INDIGO TOUCH channels. Some people need an immediate appointment, which is one of the benefits of my home practice, as i can be flexible. Including an initial brief consultation, the duration of each treatment is approximately 1 hour. We look forward to helping those persons not only in my local area of Craigavon but in the wider community in N. Ireland’.
